The Showstoppers

Direct from London’s West End with nine years as an Edinburgh Fringe ‘must see’ and an Olivier Award to their name, acclaimed improvisation group The Showstoppers create a brand new completely improvised musical comedy on the spot based entirely on audience suggestions!

The Showstoppers have been working on their improvised musical show since 2008, figuring out how to improvise in increasingly esoteric styles, musical, dance, straight theatre, and film genres to name but a few.

In the Autumn of 2015 it became the first longform improv show to have a full run in the West End at the Apollo Theatre. Then in April 2016, the show became the first improv show ever to be nominated, and subsequently win, an Olivier Award (Best Entertainment & Family Show).

“Has everything you want from a blockbuster musical – it just happens to be made up on the spot.” — Metro
